2. Local Processing (No File Uploads)

Unlike traditional cloud-based PDF tools, PDFUp operates entirely within your web browser. When you use our services to merge, split, compress, or convert files:

• Your files are processed locally on your own device.
• Your files are never uploaded to our servers or any third-party servers.
• We have absolutely zero access to the contents of your documents.

3. Analytics and Cookies

To understand which pages people visit and whether they finish a tool, we use cookieless analytics. These tools collect anonymous, aggregated data such as:

• Pages viewed (for example the homepage or Merge PDF)
• Which tool a visitor starts, and whether they download a result
• Browser type, operating system, and approximate location (country/city)

We use Vercel Web Analytics for pageviews and Medama (self-hosted) for tool start and complete events. Neither receives the contents of your PDFs, filenames, or file bytes. Processing still happens entirely on your device.

We do not use tracking cookies to build personal profiles of our users. Any third-party advertising partners (such as Google AdSense) may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website or other websites on the internet.

4. Third-Party Advertising (Google AdSense)

We use Google AdSense to serve advertisements on our website. Google AdSense uses cookies and device identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website and other websites on the internet.
